Professor Alal al-Fassi is one of the most eminent scholars and jurists with the supreme word in multiple and different fields.

He was a seasoned political figure, an experienced jurist, and a privileged purposeful man.

Therefore, it is important to take care of his heritage and scientific production, especially in the area of purposes (maqasid).

What further motivates the researcher to study this unique scholar is the fact that he enjoys a great deal of intellectual freedom in raising purposes issues, which is evident from the records that characterized his book the purposes of jurisprudence, or “Maqasid al-Shariaa”.

He issued fatwas on several issues with great boldness.
