This study aimed to identify areas of benefit for faculty members from the Internet in the scientific field as a research-education-communication tool at Tanta University, It also aimed at identifying the impact of demographic factors (age, gender, specialization, and job rank) on the use of the Internet by faculty members at Tanta University.

The study sample consisted of (120) faculty members from teachers, assistant professors and professors of both sexes from the Faculties of Arts and Sciences at Tanta University, The researcher used the descriptive analytical and comparative method and prepared the questionnaire to collect data.

She used the SPSS program to calculate the Kay square and the Kronbach coefficient to calculate the degree of agreement and the difference between the two samples of the study, To analyze data and arrive at the results of the study, the most important of which are: the ence of statistically significant differences between faculty members in their use of the Internet in the Faculties of Arts and Sciences and the variable of age, gender, specialization, and academic rank.
