Abstract EN

The research dealt with the efforts of the Sudan Police in reducing illegal immigration, and aimed to identify illegal immigration and the role played by countries and organizations working in its field, how to reduce it and address shortcomings within the State, the effectiveness of organizations and the extent of their contribution to reducing it.

The importance of the Study comes from the fact that it came to address a problem that troubles countries, institutions, and organizations working in this field, and many institutions entrusted with addressing this matter have developed plans and Strategies to prevent and stop this phenomenon, which has been and Still Stands as a Stumbling block for security authorities all over the world.

The descriptive analytical approach, and the research came out with results, the most important of which is that the Sudanese open borders without any natural obstacles, the common tribes with neighboring countries, the similarity of the facies, the lack of border control points, the economic conditions and the turmoil in neighboring countries are all reasons that help in the high rates of the crime of illegal immigration.

The competent authorities have developed Strategic plans to combat illegal immigration and are implementing them.

There is a Strategic plan within the general plan of the Police Presidency that aims to Strengthen and enhance the control of immigration to control the borders.

The researcher draws the following recommendations: raising awareness among Sudanese communities, especially the border areas, and enlighten them about the dangers of illegal immigration and its negative aspects, which are always a discount to the necessities and needs of the Sudanese citizen in his living life.

Providing the necessary capabilities, mechanisms and funds to implement plans aimed at combating illegal immigration, and the necessity to legislate a law to combat illegal immigration and human smuggling separately from other laws.
