The research deals with the study of one of the types of mechanical clocks (alerts) contained in the manuscript of the Al-kwakb Aldoria fi AlbankamatAldwria (10 AH - 16 AD) by its author Taqi al-Din bn Maarouf al-Rasid died in 993 AH / 1585 AD, a head of astronomers during the reign of Sultan Murad III (982-1003 AH / 1574-1595 AD) and Director of the Istanbul Observatory Which was established under his supervision.

The research aims to study an important manuscript in one of the branches of Arab mechanical engineering science, as the manuscript is an important episode in the history of clock science, so we can clarify from it portrayals of parts for types of mechanical watches that work with automatic system, and the research also deals with a new type of scientific representation through study and analysis in terms of the parts of the clock, its function and method of work, following the descriptive and analytical approach.
