Abstract EN

This research deals with the funeral scenes that appeared frequently in Egypt during the Roman period; in which Anubis, the guide of souls and the protector of the dead, presenting the innocent dead, after the trial to Osiris.

In this context, it is meant to presenting the dead here, presenting more than one deceased to Osiris in the same scene.

The main research problem is the lack of ancient Egyptian written sources that dealing with these scenes, because the ence of these scenes and their interpretation even in the book of the dead, meanwhile, the available information was only from archaeological sources.

According to the aforementioned, the research presents some examples, where there is diversity in the depiction of the dead and the gods, with the mixing of ancient Egyptian art with Greek and Roman art.

Moreover, the research is using the analytical and descriptive methods in studying these scenes; in order to know the origin and the beginning of its appearance, the Greek and Roman influences on them, besides the Egyptian influences.
