Abstract EN

The current research aims to identify the effect of the pentagram strategy on developing persuasive writing skills for second-grade intermediate students.

The research sample consisted of (52) female students of the second intermediate stage in the Martyr Najm Abdullah Al-Sudani intermediate school that is related to the Directorate of Education of Baghdad Al-Rusafa/ the First, for the academic year (2021-2022).

The sample has been intentionally chosen to apply the experiment, where section (A) represented the experimental group with (26) male students and section (E) represented the control group with (26) female students.

The researchers rewarded the two research groups (experimental and control) in the following variables: (the chronological age of the female students calculated in months, the academic qualification of the parents The grades of the Arabic language for the previous academic year, the linguistic ability test, and the persuasive writing test.

The researchers have prepared the research tool (essay test) which in its final form consisted of (15) essay paragraphs, the validity and reliability of which were verified.

After the expiry of the experiment period, the researchers have applied the persuasive writing test and after processing the data statistically, the research has indicated that there is a statistically significant difference in the persuasive writing test in favor of the experimental group.

Recommendations: Having not the Arabic language teachers resort to exploiting expression lesson for grammar.
