The research aims to identify: 1-The Deferred achievement of the students of the fourth scientific subject of Physics.
2-The difference in the deferred achievement of the fourth scientific students of physics according to gender (males-females (3-The relationship between deferred achievement and mental motivation The researcher relied on the descriptive correlative Method and the research sample consisted of (400) students (Male and female) from the fourth scientific students for the academic year 2021-2022 AD.
)200( male and (200) female students were selected equally.
In order to answer the research questions, the researcher used the two research tools: 1 The mental motivation scale consisting of (40) items 2 Oss an achievement test for physics for the fourth scientific class consisting of (30) items, multiple-choice questions (28) items, and (two) essay questions.
The psychometric properties of both tools were ascertained, and the data were analyzed and processed statistically using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) program.
And it reached the following results-: 1-The fourth scientific grade students have delayed achievement.
2- There are differences in deferred achievement according to the gender variable (males - females) in favor of females 3- There is a positive correlation between mental motivation and deferred achievement.
And based on these results, The researcher presented a set of suggested recommendations.
