Abstract EN

The current research aims to identify: 1- The scientific curiosity of the student-teacher in the College of Education for Pure Sciences / Ibn Al-Haytham .

2-The statistically significant differences in scientific curiosity according to the gender variable (males, females) among the student-teacher in the College of Education for Pure Sciences / Ibn Al-Haytham .

The sample consisted of (150) students from the fourth stage - of the Department of Chemistry / Ibn Al-Haytham, Baraq'a (80) males, and (70) females .

The researcher built the Scientific Curiosity Scale, which consisted of (40) items distributed over (4) domains.

To verify the psychometric properties of the scale tool from the apparent and structural validity and stability by the method of internal consistency.

Using SPSS and Excel 2010.

The following results were obtained: 1-The student-teacher possesses scientific curiosity to a good degree, and in favor of females over males .

2-There are statistically significant differences in scientific curiosity, in favor of females over males.
