Abstract EN

This research covers the biography of one of the most prominent Imams of the twelfth century A.H.

A scholar who reached the Imamate in jurisprudence (Fiqh).

He is the Imam / Al Faqih Muhammed Al-Mustapha Al-Rommassi (died 1136).

This Imam didn’t get his due definition among scholars of biographies and classes of scholars.

Thus, this research attempted to gather what dispersed in different books about the different aspects of his personality as well as the different stages of his life; therefore, forming a clear image about the life of this prominent scholar.

The research also depicts the status and position of this scholar in the Maliki School as well as the consensus of Malikis to adopt his judiciary opinions and thoughts.

The research also traces the impact of this figure in the trajectory and history on the Maliki School, wether on the composition method or on the credited sources of writing.
