Abstract EN

This study examines the conduct of the Turkish-Syrian relations in 2002-2010, which was characterized by a convergence in views that resulted in cooperation in all domains, but soon it disappeared in March 2011 since the outbreak of the Syrian revolution that plunged them into a severe tension and restored the scene of instability.

Hence the importance of this study as it analyses these changing relations.

The study concluded that these relations were conflictual more than cooperative due to historical disputes and regional and international conjuncture, and the Turkish decision-maker who's always been trying to play a pivotal regional role.
