Abstract EN

This paper aims to address the issue of the Russian strategy towards Ukraine by highlighting a new term that has emerged with the development of generations of wars over time, which is called "hybrid war".

The crisis in Ukraine is one of the most complex geopolitical crises, as Crimea is a theater of competition and conflict between various international actors (USA, European Union, Russia).

Therefore, this study attempts to analyze the Russian endeavors to win an international competition through its control over the geopolitical axes in its Eurasian biosphere, which provoked Western reactions, by imposing a number of sanctions on it depending on Ukraine's position in the Euro-Russian energy equations, which greatly affected the course of the crisis.
