Abstract EN

This study seeks through two main parts: the first deals with the theoretical presentation of the concept of sustainable development and clarification of its economic, environmental and ethical dimensions; As well as presenting the most important international conferences that called for sustainable development and explaining their objectives and importance on the global and international level in general and at the Algerian level in particular, the article also seeks to show the mechanisms and methods for achieving sustainable development, secondly the study touches on the reality of sustainable development in Algeria by presenting the Algerian strategy to achieve it, then what it achieved of short-term goals and what it did not achieve and remained ink on paper.

The article also touched on the issue of Algeria's energy transition.
