This research paper attempts to clarify the strategic and geopolitical implications for algerian national security in its mediterranean dimension because of the strategic positioning of NATO and EU In the mediterranean region, in the post-Cold War era and especially After the 09/ 11 attacks and then the security repercussions of the Arab Spring events.

This issue created an obsession for algerian security Contribution led by historical data represented by long colonialism and then cold war conditions, as well as the many of interventions of these international powers in the region like the intervention in the libyan crisis, so algeria must be concerned for its mediterranean front by leading multilateral security dialogue with these powers (NATO and EU) and to work to developpe its self capacities.
