Grammarians view on the idea that the diminutive carries a connotation of "Honor" is varied.

For instance, A1 Basrah grammarians limit the use of the diminutive to some specific purposes excluding "Honor".

Abu al-Abbas Muhammad ibn Yazid al-Mubarrad is said to have refuted the said purpose giving the justification that it is incompatible with the main purposes set for the diminutive use.

He further interpreted some evidences thereof while maintaining its use within the main determined purpose, which is "Humiliation" according to him.

Advocates of the Basri ideology gave broader interpretations of evidences thereof, which are sometimes deemed unjust and fake since such interpretations are contrary to the context and are inconsistent with the narrator's purpose Regarding verification of this purpose"Honor", Kufis were clear-eyed of narrators' purposes based on their knowledge and held further investigations into Arab's speech narration.

Accordingly, I examined the evidences given on this purpose in Poetry, Hadith, and sayings and quotes of Arab speech.

I found out that such evidences are abundant and interpretation thereof can be possible in some evidences while others are difficult to interpret.

Thus, the research question has arisen with regard to understanding the evidences on the said purpose and figuring out scholars' stance thereon in addition to identifying the more acceptable view whether confirming or refuting such purpose according to the study-based information.
