In the last decades of the last century, the international community witnessed great changes at the level of the interactive relationship between its parties, as well as the value of the roles played by these parties.

the latter expanded to include non-governmental organizations, which have not yet recognized the legal personality by modern international jurisprudence.

but realizing that this recognition elicits the extent of its effectiveness in performing important and new roles on the international scene, it worked to pay attention to issues affecting the international community, the most important of which are environmental issues that are at the fore in academic discussions and political agendas, because of their impact on human security in general.

from here came this research paper to shed light on the role played by NGOS especially environmental ones in establishing environmental security in Algeria as a model.
