The study aimed to identify the reasons for the reluctance of parents of public school students to enroll their children in scouting and guidance activities from the teachers' point of view, and to reveal statistically significant differences in the reasons for reluctance according to the variables of gender, academic qualification and years of experience.

The reasons for reluctance questionnaire were applied to (127) male and female teachers in the Al Batinah South Education Department.

The results of the study concluded that the reasons for the reluctance of parents of public school students from their children's enrollment in scouting and guiding activities from the teachers' point of view came with a moderate degree of reluctance, and there were no statistically significant differences in the reasons for reluctance according to gender and academic qualification, while statistically significant differences were found at the 0.
