The research aims to reveal the contributions of applied linguistics in defining the features of an educational methodology of languages in general, and focusing on the teaching of the Arabic language in particular, and this is due to the importance of the latter in the educational field, and for its success it is necessary to exploit modern methods and theories, as well as what it came with linguistics, the study was descriptive by adopting the method of analysis in order to answer a problem that is: what is the contribution of applied linguistics to enriching the teaching of the Arabic language?.
