This research aims to uncover a manifestation of the French settlement policy in the social sphere, through the exploit of famines that struck different regions of Algeria immediately after the first world war and the country had witnessed a similar situation in the second half of the nineteenth century and that by victory for the arrogant reasons especially with regard to the withdrawal of land ownership from its owners then clarifying its manifestations in different parts of the country as well as determining its different results at many levels while the Europeans are far from it.
