Abstract EN

This article aims to study the various polarizing intellectual trends about the relationship between men and women in Algerian families.

we have used the descriptive analytical method to describe and explain the relationship between men and women by highlighting the forms of building this relationship that found in the prevailing customs and traditions a support and justification for the desire, whims and domination of men.

the study concluded that the woman's rejection of the status quo that she lives within the family structure was the result of her feeling of domination prevailing within the family.

in addition, the female-female relationship in Algerian society is regulated by standards and norms imposed by the traditions and customs of society and the teachings of Islamic law.
