Abstract EN

This study aims to evaluate mergers and acquisitions in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries following the spread of the Covid-19 virus, and the state of closure that affected various countries of the world, in addition to addressing the most important motives for mergers and acquisitions in the Arab Gulf region.

The analytical descriptive approach and the case study method were relied upon, in which the status of merger and acquisition deals in the group's countries following the spread of the epidemic was analyzed.

Finally, the study concluded that the repercussions of the Covid-19 virus negatively affected the growth of mergers and acquisitions in the region, especially during the first half of 2020, after which it witnessed a remarkable recovery, like the rest of the world, in 2021, which is the post- pandemic stage.
