Abstract EN

The research in local history is considered to be one of the partial episodes supplementing the historical vision, especially if the subject is linked to questions which had a great impact on fateful vents, from this point of view, we considered research on the subject of Baylek the west during the ottoman era in the apartment of the economy, which always attracts the attention of researchers and academics unlike political and military questions who dominated the field of studies, this can be explained by the important role that the Algerian navy played at the time and the result of a confrontation with European countries, and therefore economic studies require even more research which deepens understanding and removes ambiguity on the hidden issues from this side.

perhaps among these aspects is the discussion of internal trade in Baylek, western Algeria, which knew the special circumstances of Spanish rule over Oran, one of the most important cities in this region, and on the other hand, its proximity to the far east, which is struggling with the ottomans, all these conditions and another that we will address, had a great impact on the crystallization the commercial life in which we focused on the interior because of its great importance in the province, because the contact was established through the markets of all kinds which remained the title of its craft activity because its installations diversified and the currencies differed, which allowed the development of the trade movement in the countryside and the city according to the different roads and paths that were key mediator in the process.
