Abstract EN

The study aims to explore the effectiveness of adaptive learning using organized instructional design in developing training packages’ design and production skills for university female students.

The study sample consisted of (55) female students from the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences at Princess Norah Bint Abdul Rahman University, within the second semester of the academic year (1437-1438) AH.

Both descriptive and analytical research methodologies were used to determine the steps needed for an organized instructional design to apply adaptive learning across blended learning environments, with the aim of equipping female learners with cognitive and performance skills to design and produce training packages.

In addition, the aforementioned research methodologies have been used to develop self-assessment tools for general cognitive skills specific to instructional design with reference to the contents of the course, as well as building product assessment criteria tool specific to the evaluation of design and production.

Applying self-assessment and product assessment tools before and after experimentation, the one-group quasi-experimental design has been used.

The results showed statistically significant differences between pre-and post-application of self-assessment tool on the level of general cognitive skills of instructional design of training packages, favoring post-application.

There was also a statistically significant difference between the average grades of female students producing packages after studying the course following adaptive learning strategy and the required level of proficiency, making 85 % in favor of the average grades of female students.
