Abstract EN

The study aimed to reveal the type of fast-slow thinking among university students in the State of Kuwait, and to identify the differences in each of them according to gender and academic specialization.

the study sample consisted of 46 male and female Kuwait university students enrolled in scientific and literary majors.

the study used the fast-slow thinking scale (Abdo and Othman, 2018).

the results of the study indicated that most of the study sample were slow-thinkers, and that literary disciplines used more rapid thinking than scientific disciplines, while both disciplines used slow thinking at a similar level without significant differences between them.

the results of the study also showed that there were no significant differences between males and females at both the level of fast thinking and slow thinking
