Abstract EN

The study aimed to know the reality of the supportive services provided to students with hearing disabilities during the period of complete transition to the distance learning style that was due to the corona pandemic that occurred in 2020.

the study sample consisted of 54 male and female teachers of hearing disabilities from the city of Taif.

the descriptive method was followed as approach in the study.

a questionnaire was prepared that included three main dimensions, including academic support services, counseling services, and language, speech, and communication services.

the total degree of the reality of the supportive services as a whole appeared in a medium degree with medium (3.11).

the result of the three-dimension appeared as the following order : academic support services came first, while language, speech and communication services came second, while counseling services came last.

the results also showed that there are no statistical differences due to the nature of disability (deaf or hard of hearing), while there are statistical differences at the level (0.05) in favor of students of middle schools' stage.

based on the results of the study, it was recommended to take an advantage of the e-learning experience that was gained during the corona pandemic in order to develop technical supportive services to suit the characteristics of students with hearing disabilities.
