Abstract EN

The current study aimed to evaluate the effect of the reciprocal teaching strategy.

to develop reading comprehension in raising the level of social skills for students with reading learning disabilities in the third grade of primary school in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

the study sample consisted of (16) female students of the third grade of primary school, they were randomly distributed over the two study groups (experimental and control), with (8) female students in each group.

the study tool was represented by a questionnaire aimed at identifying the most important differences in social skills between the two study groups.

this tool consisted of (27) paragraphs, distributed on three dimensions : “the first dimension is the social skills related to female colleagues, the second dimension is the social skills related to classroom situations, and the third dimension is social skills, related to the school environment”.

the results of the study indicated that there were statistically significant differences at the level of significance (0.05) between the average scores of female students in both the experimental and control groups.

in the level of social skills in favor of the experimental group, which shows the effectiveness of reciprocal teaching for developing reading comprehension in raising the level of social skills for students with reading learning disabilities.
