Abstract EN

This research tends to explain the meanings of the day of judgment (al-Qiayama) in the holy Quran.

it has been divided into an introduction and two themes.

this paper tackles the definition of the terminological and its methodology, steps and the difference between it and other interdisciplinary sciences.

then, it has explored the meaning of al-Qiama in the Quran, focusing on its repeated mentioning in the Quran.

after that, we have dived in its meaning within the Quranic context in addition to its relations, using sayings of some scholars, especially Quran interpreters.

we concluded to the understanding of al-Qiamah as a word and its meaning in the context of Quran.

finally, we concluded that al-Qiamah is polysemous word in the Quran; it refers to a unique day that comes after the end of the present life, in which people die, the, they will be raised and judged.
