This study aimed to find an answer to the reasons that led to the division of the "Accepted Hadith" into, Sahih, Sahih Lighayrihi, Hasan, and Hasan Lighayrihi.

the problem of the study was represented in the question about the reasons of dividing the hadith into different types and classes in terms of its strength and weakness.

the researcher followed the inductive and descriptive analytical method to achieve the goals of the study.

finally, the study concluded that the emergence of “the science of "alJrh and alTaedil" was the main reason for the divisions of the "accepted hadith" into, Sahih, Sahih Lighayrihi, Hasan, and Hasan Lighayrihi.

in addition to followups and arguments that were taken to strengthen the hadiths in the approach of the later critics.
