Abstract EN

This research focuses on analogy, which is a standard type of ijtihad.

this concept is widely researched by fundamentalists, in terms of its definition, types, and authority, the latter being often disputed.

this concept is divided in a large number of jurisprudential branches, which underline its importance.

this research is organized into three sections.

the first section deals with the concept of analogy and shows its disputed definition methods, analogy types and the difference between this concept and related terms, such as meaning, deletion, appropriateness and realization.

the second section deals with the authority of analogy, the choice among two authoritative sayings, considered from an analogous point of view, then in comparison with other analogies.

the third section deals the jurisprudential effects of the disputes resulting from analogies in terms of worship, transactions, crimes and some contemporary issues.
