Abstract EN

The study aimed : to identify the availability of a culture of volunteer work (cultural fields, administrative fields, legal fields, social fields) among students of Umm al-Qura university, and to reveal the contribution of volunteer work to the development of leadership skills (technical skills, organizational skills, intellectual skills, human skills ) among the students of Umm al-Qura university, and revealing the most important obstacles to the availability of a culture of volunteer work among the students of Umm al-Qura university, the descriptive approach was used to answer the questions of the study, and the study population consisted of the students of Umm al-Qura university in Makkah al-Abidiya headquarters and al-Zahir headquarters in all academic levels, where the questionnaire was distributed to a simple random sample of (600) male and female students, of which (381) were returned.

the study reached the following most important results : first : the degree of availability of a culture of volunteer work (cultural fields, administrative fields, legal fields, social fields) among students of Umm al-Qura university was medium at a rate of 73%.

second : the degree of contribution of voluntary work to the development of leadership skills (technical skills, organizational skills, intellectual skills, human skills) among students of Umm al-Qura university was significantly higher, at 85%.

third : the degree of the most prominent obstacles to the availability of a culture of volunteer work among students of Umm al-Qura university was an average degree of 58%.
