Almuejam Alkabir, which was launched by the Arabic Language Academy in Cairo in 1970, is one of the most distinguished modern dictionary that adopted a new method in the treatment of lexical information at the level of lexical definition and lexical functions.

This research came to know the large lexicon and to explain its methodology in explaining the words and its inclusion in the lexicon functions, and evaluated it his approach to explaining the words, its advantages and the most important defects that occurred in it.
