Abstract EN

Menoufia University signed an agreement with the Bibliotheca Alexandrina in 2016 to establish a branch within the university in the so-called “Embassy of Knowledge.” Indeed, the embassy was opened in 2017 behind the Faculty of Science building.

From the library of the College of Arts has a clear impact on the research services in the college library, and this is what was achieved through this study.

Therefore, the study sought to monitor the impact of the embassy of knowledge on Research Information Services the library of the Faculty of Arts, Menoufia University, by revealing Research Information Services of the embassy of knowledge in terms of (their use as a source for obtaining information, means of strengthening research services, the role of embassy officials to support Research Information Services and obstacles to the use of Research Information Services( as well as Disclose the research services in the library of the College of Arts in terms of (current and new services, means of benefiting from information sources, means of supporting Research Information Services(RIS, the role of the librarian in strengthening research services and obstacles to the use of Research Information Services, then measuring the impact of the knowledge embassy on research services in the library of the faculty of Arts.

The study relied on the analytical descriptive approach, and given the large size of the study population, the total number of users per month was limited to the Embassy of Knowledge and the Faculty of Arts at Menoufia University during the second semester 2020/2021 AD.

An intentional sample was relied upon, who are faculty staff and graduate students, and the number of respondents was 350 individual, who attended the Embassy of Knowledge and the College of Arts under study together, A questionnaire was prepared, the first axis of which was devoted to monitoring research information services at the Embassy of Knowledge - Menoufia University, and the second axis was devoted to monitoring research information services at the Library of the Faculty of Arts - Menoufia University Perhaps the most prominent results achieved from the study are an increase in the daily frequency of the knowledge embassy more than the college library, and the availability of electronic resources in the knowledge embassy is 89% compared to 60% with what is available from different sources in the college library, and there is a clear role for the embassy of knowledge in accreditation On it as a main source for obtaining information, the percentage constituted 70% compared to 40% who depend on the college library, and this role increased with the interest of the librarian at the Embassy of Knowledge in helping the sample members and providing advanced services.
