Penal reconciliation and economic benefitSummaryCriminal reconciliation under modern penal policy is one of the most important alternatives to the criminal case, it has many aims and purposes, the least of which is to ease the burden on justice, and the more effective is to obtain economic benefits in some of the crimes that the legislator has identified it and allowed its reconciliation.

The discussion today in Algeria concerns the generalization of this procedure in cases of corruption within the framework of the draft amendment of Law No.

01-06 on the prevention and fight against corruption, despite the moral hazard and controversy that it contains, it calls into question the idea that penal reconciliation is only a fee paid to subvert the law.

Thus, between the search for greater efficiency in the criminal case, in particular those related to crimes of a financial nature, and the danger of the reaction of society which denies the procedure because criminal reconciliation makes the pain lose its meaning, this article comes to discuss the concepts, provisions and effectiveness.
