This study attempts to identify the complex relationship between the narrative text and its conscious or unconscious ideology directed by its author.

this means that we are dealing with the concept of ideology not as a concept loaded with a political legacy.

rather, we mean by it a broader fac that indicates a special vision of the world, or a vision of the world.

it constructs the world through narration to try to model it on a realistic example in order to explain and understand it and to display the hidden semantic aspects of it.

this research analyzes the ideological dimension in Ibrahim Aslan's "the novel of a very old friend", in its combination with the two components of narrative construction-I mean the techniques of description and narration together-that contribute to highlighting the ideological dimension within the novel, whether it is a description of the characters or the place or other key elements.

the reliance on the intellectual dimensions included in the narrative structure represents a good foundation in dealing with the interplay between narrative and descriptive in their relationship with aesthetic and intellectual, structures and significance ; this is because in the context of our text, the "ideological construction" and what was characterized by it as hegemony, and the effectiveness of a narrative, and what it made of structural synergy, and the intensity of description, diversity and evasion of some components of the narrative, all of that, was the central focus in which a compass converged.
