In this research, I dealt with the subject of the French fort (bastion) in the city of el kala, which was established during the ottoman period, by the French for the exploitation and trade of coral, and the fort has acquired particular importance because of the great role it played in European commercial transactions.

we aim through this study to highlight the historical and archaeological value of the French fort and its role in the economic movement.
