يعالج هذا البحث علوم الطب في بايلك قسنطينة من خلال دراسة رسالة رقم 53 بعث بها صالح باي إلى وكيل الباستيون يطلب منه إرسال الطبيب الفرنسي لمداواة أحد أقربائه عام 1775م ومنها نكتشف مستوى الطب المحلي وطرق العلاج المتبعة من طرف السكان في تلك الفترة.
وبعد البحث في الوثائق والمصادر المختصة استنتجنا أن الطب في الجزائر خلال العهد العثماني كان بصفة عامة مزيج ما بين العلم والسحر والشعوذة وذلك لأن السلطات العثمانية لم تول اهتمامها بعلوم الطب ولا بغيره من العلوم العقلية.
Abstract EN
This research treats the science of medicine at the level of the Beylek of Constantine, this according to the study of a letter n°53 was sent by Salah Bey to the agent of bastion asking the French doctor to treat one of his close in 1775, this study aims to give an idea of the level of local medicine and the methods of treatment adopted by the inhabitants during this period.
after researching in documents and references we finally concluded that medicine in the regency of Algiers was generally a mixture of science, magic and sorcery.
this is because the ottoman authorities did not pay attention to medical sciences or other sciences for reasons.
