There are many crimes that are committed and the victims of which are children, especially the crime of selling children and crimes of sexual exploitation of children- in prostitution and in pornography.

The phenomenon of child exploitation is a global phenomenon that strikes all parts of the globe, and is a new challenge to humanity represented in the growing patterns of modern slavery of children, whether those that occur through coercion or subterfuge, or those in which some fell voluntarily and of their own free will, under the weight of living conditions; Therefore, international efforts have been combined to announce the desire to combat this phenomenon through the United Nations Convention (Palermo Convention) against Transnational Organized Crime, and its complementary protocol related to preventing, suppressing and punishing trafficking in persons, especially women and children, in addition to a number of other efforts.

Child sex tourism is a growing global phenomenon that causes bodily harm to countless numbers of children all over the world, and often causes irreparable consequences, despite its illegal nature due to it being considered a taboo and the main stakeholders not understanding the dimensions of this phenomenon.
