There has always been a western interest in the Islamic East and its civilizations and monuments, and its own sciences, knowledge, customs and traditions.

Like the rest of the East, the Ottoman Empire's history in all its stations and stages continues to attract orientalists of all their schools and orientations, who wish to study and research this history regardless of their true aims.

This study aims to highlight one of the most prominent oriental schools interested in Ottoman and Arab history, the American Oriental School.

Demonstrating its history of origin and efforts in the field of Orientalism, and identifying the most prominent historical issues that I have tacked on it and its most prominent pioneers, writers and authors.
