Pragmatics is concerned with the study of language during use, as it takes into account everything that surrounds it, such as the speaker and the addressee, the place and time of communication, those present during the speech, and the relationship of the speaker to the addressee so that the speaker's intentions are clear and the meanings are conveyed to the addressee.

among the dimensions of this theory, we find personal signs, which are one of the most important principles on which it is based, and it is the subject of our research through which we will try to answer some questions : what is meant by this type of signs ? what is the nature of its circulation in the story of joseph, peace be upon him ?
