The fall of Granada in 1492 AD, had a major impact on the western basin of the Mediterranean.

in fact, its influence was not limited to politics, it had extended to the Maghreb cities’ demography including Algiers ; the city where the Andalusians formed an important numerical group supported by the ottoman authority.

although there was a kind of ambiguity in their relationship with the rest of the population of Algiers, the Andalusians played a prominent role in the stability of the ottoman authority, which prompted us to ask about the nature of this relationship ? most of the studies that dealt with the Andalusian community confirmed that they were not integrated in the society in which they live, so what is the sincerity of this vision ? how did the Andalusian community treat itself with this new society she found ?
