This article seeks to present the problem of the relationship between literature and philosophy in the past, as it seeks to present opinions and point of view of writers and philosophy in terms of the fact that literature is closely related to philosophy or vice versa.

the article shows an important aspect is the utilization of philosophy for literature-especially poetry-in many issues related to mankind and to highlight philosophical perceptions on the one hand and on the other hand to highlight the reality of existence.

the article dealt with different opinions of philosophers such as Aristotle, Plato, Nietzsche, Wolter, Arthur Shupenhauer.
