Abstract EN

This research aims to study the poetic images such as simile, metaphor, and symbolic figures in selected poems by the Algerian Mufti Ibn Ammar.

we noticed that Ibn Amar, Ibn Ali, Goujeli, and others used poetic images in their poems that are derived from the natural lexicon, historical dictionary, and the spiritual lexicon which marks a woman as a theme and the wine as its equivalent.

the city of Algiers was one of the sources that Ibn Ali and Ibn Ammar used in their poems in terms of describing its gardens, orchards, air, sea, and so on, in addition to comparing its homes and palaces to the palaces of the rulers in Baghdad, the Levant (Bilād a'š-Šām), and Cordoba in terms of their construction, architecture, the literary and cultural councils that were held in there.
