Abstract EN

This study seeks to shed light on the reality of the practical aspect of the linguistic term among university researchers, particularly on the current state of things and what these ought to be.

this is achieved by searching for the reasons behind the phenomenon of the functional dispersion of the linguistic term and the latter's misuse, whether this relates to the internal factors associated with linguistics as a newly emerging science, or to the rest of the external factors associated with the researcher, in both their use and assimilation sides, within this field of knowledge.

moreover, this study is an attempt to examine a number of suggested solutions that aim to build a stable linguistic term which is trusted by its users and aspires to the highest level of academic degrees, like many terms related to exact sciences, such as medicine and technology, that meet the requirements of both the Arab reader and researcher.
