This research paper deals with a partial part in the history of Algerian-Tunisian relations during the 17th century, which is to stop at the most important events recorded by the Algerian historian Mohamed ben Mohamed ben Omar al-Adwani ; political, military, economic, social and cultural events for both the Algerian and Tunisian communities, particularly for that region to which he belongs, the south-eastern region of Algeria and the south-west of Tunisia, the border area between the two countries.

therefore, we try to know about Mohammed al-Adwani, his book and the events it contains, and evaluate this historical balance, and therefore aim to highlight the role of local sources in writing the history of the region, and to note the need to use them to enrich and diversify historical information and data.
