Abstract EN

This paper aims to address the most important topics that have provoked great controversy among the competent people, namely sovereign wealth funds.

this controversy stems mainly from the rejecting attitudes expressed by some recipient countries, especially in their aspect of governance, transparency and disclosure in their investment dealings.

accordingly, this study highlighted the principles of the international working group (IWG) or the so-called Santiago Doctrine, which represents a common set of voluntary principles and practices and represents a framework that accurately reflects governance, accountability and disclosure arrangements, as well as the sound exercise of their investments by sovereign wealth funds.
