Abstract EN

This study aimed to measure the effectiveness of using fishbowl strategy in developing critical thinking for the pupils of preparatory stage and the attitude towards mathematics in the preparatory stage.

the study included five chapters.

the first chapter dealt with the general framework of the study.

then the second chapter dealt with the theoretical framework and the study literature, its importance, foundations, characteristics and the difference between it and traditional learning.

after that it tackled the strategy of fishbowl (its definition-its principles-how to apply it-its importance-its advantages-its feed backs) and also discussed the concept of critical thinking and its basic and secondary skills and how to develop it and how to measure it and also addressed the definition of attitudes and sources of composition and how to develop and then how to measure, in the third chapter explained the preparation of experimental treatment tools including the student book in the unit (isosceles triangle-medians triangle) and the teacher guide to teach this unit using the strategy of fishbowl, critical thinking and a measure of the attitude towards mathematics.

finally the study of experimental procedures, and the fourth chapter dealt with the results of the study, which showed the effectiveness of using the strategy of fishbowl in the development of critical thinking skills (finding assumptions-interpretation-detect mathematical inaccuracies-evaluative thinking) and the tendency towards mathematics in the preparatory school students, and the presentation of recommendations and proposals for the study, and the fifth chapter presented a summary of the study.
