In light of widespread use of the Internet among youth and its exploitation by some extremist groups in spreading their perverted ideas, the guidance of youth and their families becomes imperative to confront the risks of this perverted thought, and from this standpoint the study problem is defined in the following question: How aware is the Saudi family’s awareness of intellectuals’ deviations risks on sons? What is role of electronic counseling through virtual societies to develop their awareness of these risks? The objectives of the study were to identify the level of awareness of Saudi family, in the study sample, of the Saudi family’s awareness of intellectuals’ deviations risks on sons, and to reach a proposed electronic counseling program that could contribute to increasing families’ awareness of intellectuals’ deviations risks on sons.

The study adopted social sample survey method, and simple random sample reached (150) Saudi families.

The results of the study found that there is a diversity in the responses of families, the study sample about the Saudi family’s awareness of intellectuals’ deviations risks on sons, and the family’s awareness of these risks was achieved with a (strong) degree.

It also found a multiplicity of reasons that led their sons to deviate from the ideology, including: pessimistic vision towards the future, unemployment, disintegration Families, psychological problems among sons, weak role of universities and educational institutions, the negative impact of social media, as the study found a number of roles that electronic counseling can play in protecting sons from intellectual deviations, and developing a concept for an electronic counseling program through virtual societies to educate families the risks of deviations Intellectual on sons.
