The problem of educational retardation is one of the problems that is prevalent in all societies without exception, and it has received attention from educators, psychologists, teachers, and parents, and they consider it one of the most important modern problems that are a source of hindering growth and progress for a renewed life for generations and the nation.

Therefore, the research problem was summarized in identifying the problems that cause academic delay, and all aspects related to educational retardation, including consequences, effects, and solutions in all fields.

Educational retardation is a multidimensional problem.

It is a psychological, educational, and social problem that psychologists, educators, social workers, and parents are concerned with.

The fact that some students are left behind in school and unable to keep up with their peers in achievement may cause many psychological disorders and manifestations of abnormal behavior.

Just as the student’s academic backwardness raises concern among the parents, the educational backwardness also reflects its impact socially in the form of wasted budgets without a significant return.
