the Abbasid caliphate took advantage of the economic and military deterioration of the Tulunid state in Egypt, so they worked on it.

the depletion of its wealth and resources by all means, which precipitated the Tulunid fate in Egypt these factors led to the establishment of one of the Tulunid army officers, Ibrahim al-Khaliji or Ibn al-Khilji.
