Abstract EN

Rhetoricians who appeared in the modern era enriched the Arabic library with many rhetorical works that were far from explanations, texts, and commentary on commentaries and footnotes.

these books that appeared had their own influences, thought and taste.

they were far from complexity and unchangeability.

Suleyman Nawwar, who combined between originality and modernity as well as preservation and renewal is considered to be one of the best rhetoricians in this age.

he contributed to the rhetorical studies with a precious book that is like a precious pearl, this book is called “notes on eloquence”, in which he dealt with the two topics of speech components and the cases of analogy by imam Abd al-Qaher al-Jurjani.

the researcher defined the author's life in terms of his name, lineage, birth, upbringing, works and jobs his students and death.

this study consists of two topics.

the first one is "speech components" which involves the concept of components and its classification to correct and incorrect and dividing the correct speech into rhetoric and non- rhetoric.

it also included the reference to the good discourse, with the evaluation of returning the good one to the components, and also included the issue of the story of components, and the suspicions contained in that, with the confirmation that their story is not components.

as for the second topic, "cases of analogy": it included presenting the views of the rhetoricians on the concept of analogy with the evaluation of the opinion of imam Abd al-Qaher.

the variation of the analogy influence is due to the diversity of purposes in the context used.

the reasons for the good use of analogy are mentioned with indicating the distinction between the intellectual effort in the eloquent speech and the intellectual one in the non-eloquent speech.

at the end of the study, the researcher added a conclusion in which the results and the recommendations of the study are written down.
