The research deals with talking about The Words of clothes in Islamic civilization through The Book of Genealogy of Al-Samʿānī (D.

562 AH / 1167 AD), by monitoring, documenting and classifying the civilizational words of clothes in the Islamic civilization transmitted in the volumes of The Book of Genealogy of Al-Imam Al-Samʿānī, This is in order to root these words in a civilized way and to define the semantic field for them by presenting a presentation of the Arab clothes that were prevalent in the Arabian Peninsula, in that period from the beginning of Islam until the death of Al-Samʿānī through his book.

The research deals with three sections that preceded and were issued with the introduction to the discussion of Al-Samʿānī and his genealogy book, and a clarification of the concept of the words of civilization.

In the second topic, it dealt with the words related to body clothes, and the third topic devoted the words related to foot clothes, all through the genealogy book of Al-Samʿānī.
